In January 2021, the UK Government published its responses to its 2019 future home standards consultation.
In which it set out the plans to phase out gas-reliant housing by 2025 when all new installation of gas boilers should be redundant as we move to deliver homes that are zero carbon already.
We cannot question the dedication of the government to decarbonise the industry, but will this really all be possible in such a short time frame considering the scale of its implications?
