UK residents are reporting having to make a call between eating and heating as the price of gas and electricity soars. Nobody should be “scared” to use basic utilities. But that’s where we find ourselves in the UK.
With things predicted to get much worse before they get better, we’re calling on the government to step in and cut VAT on domestic and communal heating bills, to ease the cost-of-living crisis squeezing households.
That’s something they’ve been resistant to so far, but with the energy price cap set to rise in April by nearly half to £1,900, we believe a change of stance is required.
